About The Position

The Equipment Repair Technician plays a critical role in ensuring Kreg’s medical equipment is safe, reliable, and ready to support patient care. In this full-time position, you will inspect, maintain, and repair specialty medical equipment while working closely with internal teams to meet service and quality standards. This role is ideal for individuals with strong mechanical and electrical aptitude who take pride in precision, organization, and contributing to meaningful work in healthcare.

Requirements

  • Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude with effective troubleshooting skills

  • Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

  • Ability to pass a criminal background check and required drug screenings
  • Experience in creating detailed repair and service documentation
  • Experience using electrical safety analyzers, voltmeters, current meters, and standard workshop tools
  • Ability to perform tasks that may include standing for extended periods and lifting or moving equipment, with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record if travel is required for the role

Responsibilities

  • Inspect, diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair specialty medical equipment, including hospital beds, support surfaces, and related devices
  • Perform preventative maintenance in accordance with manufacturer specifications and internal procedures
  • Use diagnostic tools such as electrical safety analyzers, voltmeters, and current meters
  • Complete accurate and detailed repair reports and service documentation
  • Follow all safety, infection control, and regulatory guidelines to ensure compliance and quality
  • Maintain an organized and efficient workspace using 5S principles
  • Communicate effectively with internal teams to coordinate equipment availability and service priorities
  • Clean and disinfect rental equipment according to company policies
  • Provide product or process training to Field Service Representatives (FSR) as requested
  • Deliver, service, or pick up medical equipment from customer facilities when required
