Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
- Be able to safely work alone or as part of a team, capable of self-direction.
- Basic computer and math skills are required.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment background check, physical, and drug screen
- Ability to work as scheduled (including overtime, weekends and holidays) to support our 24/7 operations
- Dependable, team-player who can demonstrate initiative.
- Must have basic knowledge of hand tools and possess a mechanical aptitude.
- Must be flexible as job focus and assignments may change daily and by the hour.
Responsibilities
- Maintains a safe working environment by complying with Novelis HSE standards and policies, all state and federal regulations, and company policies and procedures.
- Operate a variety of mobile equipment including, but not limited to; forklift, skid steer, overhead crane.
- Coordinate and carry out various tasks as assigned by management.
- Perform repetitive tasks and assist others to provide an organized and clean workplace including assigned areas of the plant, workstations, equipment, walkways and locker rooms.
- Notify appropriate personnel of irregularities in operating equipment or materials; maintain clean and orderly conditions in work area.
