About The Position

The YMCA of the Jersey Shore is looking for Team Building Specialists to inspire and lead campers throughout Monmouth County through activities that motivate young people to work together, develop their strengths and learn the value of collaboration rather than competition.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age by June 1st
• Must be willing to participate on ropes course elements including climbing wall, cargo netzip line and team wall.
• Experience working with children, preferably in a camp setting
• CPR, First Aid, Epi-pen, & AED certified prior to the start of camp; three additional training days required in late May/early June

Responsibilities

• Aid in the development of problem-solving skills, fostering creativity and increasing confidence in campers.
• Plan and implement program activities, following a designed schedule, that are developmentally appropriate and consistent with the YMCA core values.
• Maintain accurate attendance and safety records, inventory and equipment use logs.
• Maintain positive relations and provide support to co-workers; role modeling teamwork and sportsmanship.
