The Rope Access Level II will perform and/or assist NDT Technicians in performing non-destructive Testing of materials.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
  • Valid Driver's License and pre-access drug and alcohol testing required.
  • Valid TWIC card required.
  • Pre-employment background checks will be required.
  • 40hr Radiation Safety Training required.
  • Move, carry, and lift objects 50 lbs. or more.
  • Must be able to walk, stand, bend, reach, and climb.
  • Must be able to demonstrate all skills and knowledge required of Rope Access Level I Technician.
  • Must be able to work indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions
  • This position may work in various locations within the U.S. Some locations may be subject to extreme temperatures, working in high places, etc.
  • Potential for exposure to temperature changes, wetness, confined spaces, fumes/odors, working with ladder/scaffolds, working with pressurized equipment, high places, hazardous materials, and working alone.
  • HMT will supply adequate training and equipment to meet the functions of the job.

Nice To Haves

  • Current SPRAT and/or IRATA certification considered an asset
  • Radiographer state card will be considered an asset.
  • NDT training and experience will be considered an asset.
  • NCCER Insulator certifications will be considered an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Set up basic and complex rope systems.
  • Perform advanced maneuvers like re-belays, deviations, and aid climbing.
  • Supervise and assist Level 1 technicians on-site.
  • Perform basic rescues (pick-offs, haul systems, etc.).
  • Conduct pre-job risk assessments and safety checks.
  • Provide training and mentoring to Level 1 techs.
