Room Technician
About The Position

As Mackinac Island’s only full-service, casually elegant resort, we rely on professionals who understand that excellence behind the scenes drives exceptional guest experiences. We are currently seeking an experienced Resort Maintenance Technician to help keep our property operating at the highest standards. You’ll be part of a skilled facilities team responsible for maintaining guest rooms, public spaces, and essential resort systems. Your work will directly support operations, housekeeping, and front-line teams, ensuring everything runs safely, smoothly, and professionally. You’ll work in a diverse, multicultural environment where teamwork, mutual respect, and communication are essential.
Requirements
- 1+ year in maintenance, preferably in a hotel, resort, or hospitality environment
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Working knowledge of routine repairs, maintenance procedures, and building systems
- Understanding of OSHA standards and safe work practices
- Self-motivated, dependable, solutions-focused, and detail-oriented
- Ability to work effectively in a multicultural team environment with strong communication and respect for others
- Must be able to live and work on Mackinac Island year-round
