Battery Room Technician
About The Position
Carolina Industrial Products is seeking to hire a full-time Battery Room Technician to oversee the change out of industrial forklift batteries for an around the clock forklift operation. This opportunity also includes management of the battery room to include maintaining industrial batteries and chargers to ensure our customers are able to run around the clock. A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A BATTERY ROOM TECHNICIAN As a Battery Room Technician, you are completely responsible for the battery room that you are assigned. This allows you to have full autonomy and the ability to manage things the way you want to during your shift. On a daily basis you are responsible for incoming and outgoing batteries and chargers. It's your job to do battery evaluations as they are changed out. You are also in the drivers seat when it comes to keeping your battery room clean and creating an environment that you can be proud of. Our customers rely on our battery room technicians to keep our customers up and running. Your favorite part of the job is taking ownership of the battery room, keeping up with incoming and outgoing work, working efficiently, making repairs, and keeping things flowing.
Requirements
- Mechanical/electrical aptitude
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening and DOT physical
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Organized and like things to be clean
- Exceptional critical thinking skills
- Able to work independently
- Can follow safety protocols
