A Battery Technician installs, maintains, tests, and repairs industrial, automotive, or renewable energy battery systems to ensure peak performance and safety. Key duties include monitoring charge cycles, replacing faulty cells, repairing chargers, and documenting maintenance in compliance with safety standards. They often work with lead-acid or lithium-ion systems. Requirements

  • Maintenance: Inspecting, cleaning, and watering batteries; testing voltage and specific gravity.
  • Installation & Repair: Installing, removing, and replacing industrial batteries, chargers, and components.
  • Troubleshooting: Diagnosing issues with battery performance, chargers, and related equipment.
  • Safety Compliance: Adhering strictly to hazardous material protocols (handling acids/lithium) and wearing proper PPE.
  • Documentation: Maintaining detailed records of service, testing results, and charging activity.
