Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent and one (1) year admitting experience, OR two (2) years office or clerical experience, OR an Associate's degree in Business.
• Must have completed a medical terminology course or assessment of an 80% or better.
• Must be able to type a minimum of 30 wpm or better.
• Ability to work independently and communicate tactfully.

Nice To Haves

• B.S. degree in Business.

Responsibilities

• Admits, transfers, and discharges patients to and from rooms via the computer system.
• The duties of this position require the exercise of courtesy and patience in dealing with physicians, nurses, clinical departments, patients, families, and others in order to maintain sound public relations.
