About The Position

Riggs Washington DC sits on the iconic downtown corner of Penn Quarter’s 9th and F Street in a historic building once home to Riggs National Bank. Each of the Hotel’s 181 guest rooms offers a playful nod to the building’s legacy. Riggs is home to the all-occasion European brasserie-inspired restaurant Café Riggs, as well as Silver Lyan – a subterranean bar from the internationally acclaimed Ryan Chetiyawardana, also known as Mr Lyan. Requirements

  • Hotel Experience is not required – Fun and welcoming personality is a MUST
  • A minimum of 1-2 years hospitality experience, especially in housekeeping, is preferred but not required
  • Willingness to learn
  • Team player
  • Ability to lift up-to 25 lbs. without any assistance.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Flexible schedule is required to meet the needs of the business

Responsibilities

  • Replace guest amenities and supplies in room.
  • Make and clean beds and sheets per Riggs Washington DC Standards.
  • Remove trash, dirty linens and room service items.
  • Straighten and clean guest’s living area including (desk, furniture and appliances).
  • Vacuum carpets and floor.
  • Report any discrepancies to Housekeeping supervisors.
