About The Position

The Room Attendant is responsible for cleaning rooms, hallways, and other assigned areas in compliance with DKN Hotels’ standards. This role involves maintaining a friendly, cheerful, and courteous demeanor while providing personalized service to hotel guests and communicating effectively with guests and team members. Key duties include cleaning guest rooms to DKN Hotels’ standards, such as making beds, dusting, vacuuming, and thoroughly cleaning bathrooms, all within established time guidelines. The attendant must also follow DKN Hotels’ policy for room amenities, immediately turn in lost and found items to management, and ensure the complete security of the master room key, returning it at the end of each shift without ever leaving the property with it. Reporting maintenance issues, assisting with laundry as needed, and reporting any missing/found articles or damage to the Executive Housekeeper are also part of the role. The position requires providing assistance to other team members and departments to contribute to the overall performance of the hotel and delivering DKN’s "Home Away From Home" experience. Management retains the discretion to add or change duties at any time.

Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a friendly, cheerful and courteous demeanor at all times, while providing personalized service to hotel guests
  • Communicate effectively with guests and fellow team members
  • Clean guest rooms to DKN Hotels’ standards including but not limited to: making beds, dusting, vacuuming, cleaning bathrooms completely, wiping down walls, etc.
  • Clean rooms within the minutes-per-room guideline established by the Executive Housekeeper and General Manager
  • Follow DKN Hotels’ policy for room amenities
  • Turn in all items left in guestroom to manager immediately
  • Maintain complete security of master room key
  • Return the key at the end of shift
  • Never leave the property with key
  • Report any maintenance items that need immediate attention
  • Assist with laundry as needed
  • Report any missing/found articles or damage to the Executive Housekeeper
  • Provide assistance to other team members and departments to contribute to the best overall performance of the department and hotel
  • Deliver DKN’s "Home Away From Home" experience
  • Perform other duties as assigned, requested or deemed necessary by management
