About The Position

The Room Attendant is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and overall presentation of assigned rooms and suites in compliance with hotel standards. This role involves various cleaning tasks, guest interactions, and reporting maintenance issues to ensure a pleasant experience for guests.

Requirements

• Ability to arrive to work on time and when scheduled.
• Physically able to move large objects such as carts and bags of linen.
• Physically able to operate cleaning equipment such as vacuum cleaners and brooms.
• Ability to read and recognize room/suite numbers.
• Ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members verbally or in written form.
• Ability to learn, follow, and enforce cleanliness standards for rooms/suites.
• Ability to follow all safety procedures and recognize emergency situations.

Responsibilities

• Check housekeeping cart for supplies and stock as needed.
• Greet guests immediately with friendly and sincere acknowledgment.
• Strip dirty linens and towels and remove used amenities from rooms/suites.
• Clean assigned rooms/suites, including making beds, cleaning bathrooms, dusting, vacuuming, and washing windows/tracks.
• Report rooms as clean and available.
• Report maintenance deficiencies to maintain compliance with hotel standards.
• Replenish linen and guest amenities.
• Respond to special requests by guests, such as providing extra amenities or service time requests.
• Provide customer service to guests, including information about hotel services, activities, and local attractions.
• Assist co-workers as requested.
