About The Position

We are seeking a dynamic Roofing Inspector/Sales Representative to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for inspecting, scoping, and estimating roofing damages and repairs while driving sales and building relationships within the industry. Your focus will be on providing detailed assessments and effective solutions for our clients, ensuring high-quality service and fostering new business opportunities.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; a college degree is preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in roofing inspections/scoping.
  • Previous sales experience or training is highly desired but not required.
  • Valid Driver's License with a satisfactory driving record.
  • Aptitude for basic math, necessary for accurate calculations related to estimates.
  • Flexibility for local and regional travel for business development and networking.
  • Proficiency in learning and using technology.
  • Must pass a background check.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to independently manage client relationships and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong presentation skills with the ability to effectively communicate our value proposition.
  • Proficient in developing and implementing effective selling strategies.
  • Ability to move up to 20 pounds occasionally and sit for extended periods.
  • Close visual acuity for detailed work and computer use.
  • Varied indoor and outdoor working conditions with travel required (company vehicle provided).

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough inspections of roofing systems to identify damage and assess repair needs.
  • Scope out repair work and estimate costs accurately for potential and existing clients.
  • Build and nurture relationships with insurance agents, brokers, adjusters, property managers, and homeowners to expand our customer base.
  • Develop and implement strategies to market our roofing services effectively to potential clients.
  • Represent the company at industry networking events and trade shows to promote our roofing services.
  • Prepare detailed reports and documentation for job file reviews with clients.
  • Develop and execute sales strategies to meet revenue goals and capture market share.
  • Utilize digital media platforms to create and share engaging content about our roofing services.
  • Manage and maintain key accounts, ensuring exceptional customer service and issue resolution.
