Job Title: Roof & Building Enclosure Specialist-Observer (RRO-mREWO) Ideal candidate will sit in Alexandria, VA or Atlanta, GA area We are seeking an experienced and knowledgeable Roof/Building Enclosure Specialist-Observer (RRO) to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide technical services and quality observation on a variety of projects with RRC oversight on roof and exterior wall/waterproofing systems for a variety of clients, including commercial, industrial and multi-family residential properties. This role involves conducting roof, exterior wall, and waterproofing evaluations; preparing detailed reports; providing part time and full-time quality assurance for building exterior projects from start to finish. The Specialist is also responsible for client relationship management and development thereof as well as team member contribution and coordination.

Requirements

  • High School diploma and post-graduation technical, college, University study/education or a minimum of 5 years working experience in the roof, building enclosure or construction related fields).
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience with client services regarding roofing, waterproofing, and exterior wall consultation.
  • Proficient in writing and editing of project bid packages and technical reports.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Client-relationship building skills, with a focus on developing and maintaining partnerships within the local service area.
  • Ability to work independently and communicate verbally and via electronic means to project management.
  • Willingness to travel and coordinate with team members, on short notice at times.
  • Ability to learn and comply with all company policies and procedures.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel) and Adobe.
  • Must have a valid driver's license in state of residence with a clean driving record.
  • Applicants must pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate, roof and building envelope issues for commercial, industrial, and multi-family residential facilities.
  • Conduct detailed roof, exterior wall, and waterproofing inspections.
  • Perform quality assurance observations during roof construction or repair projects to ensure compliance with bid packages or plans and specifications by others.
  • Provide guidance on roof, exterior wall, and waterproofing systems, materials, and industry best practices to clients.
  • Interface with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Stay current with industry trends, materials, and code compliance.
