About The Position

The Project Engineer plays a key role in shaping high performing building enclosures, bringing strong technical expertise in building science, envelope design, and enclosure construction. This role leads projects from investigation and design through construction documentation and on site field reviews, acting as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the process. You will evaluate complex building conditions, develop practical and durable solutions for both new and existing buildings, and contribute to projects that demand technical rigor and creativity. The role includes mentoring junior staff, supporting project delivery and project health, and influencing outcomes related to quality, schedule, and client experience, with clear opportunities to step into broader leadership responsibilities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Building Science, Architectural Science, or a related discipline from an accredited institution
  • 4+ years of relevant experience in building enclosure consulting, building science, or a related field
  • Professional Engineer or Architect registration, or actively working toward licensure, with ability to stamp as required
  • Strong foundation in building science, building enclosure design, construction practices, and applicable building codes
  • Experience delivering projects from investigation and design through construction documentation and field review
  • Ability to manage project quality, budget, schedule, and client expectations with minimal oversight
  • Clear, confident communicator with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Demonstrated attention to detail and sound technical judgment
  • Ability to mentor junior staff and collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams
  • Proactive, adaptable problem solver with a commitment to continuous learning

Responsibilities

  • Deliver building enclosure projects from investigation through construction, acting as the day-to-day client contact
  • Lead technical aspects of projects of moderate scope and complexity with minimal oversight
  • Assess building conditions and develop practical, durable solutions using sound building science principles
  • Manage project performance, including budget, schedule, quality, and client satisfaction
  • Mentor, train, and review work prepared by junior staff
  • Proactively support a respectful, engaging, and inclusive workplace culture
  • Embed health and safety into project planning, field activities, and team workflows
  • Navigate and resolve team conflicts and ethical considerations with professionalism and care
  • Support business development efforts by anticipating client needs and identifying future opportunities
  • Stamp documents as required (Engineer or Architect)
