About The Position

The Ronald McDonald Family Room at Primary Children's Hospital provides a welcoming, home-like environment for patients' families to relax. Families can enjoy home-cooked meals, socialize with others, use shower facilities, do laundry, or simply find some quiet time away from a child's room. The Family Room also serves as a resource hub, offering assistance and information about hospital and local community resources. Volunteers are crucial to staffing the front desk, greeting families, and assisting with various tasks such as cleaning, organizing, stocking supplies, making beds, preparing treats, and facilitating crafts. The primary objective of the Ronald McDonald Family Room is to alleviate stress and fatigue for families during their hospital stay. Volunteers will engage with families as needed, track guest usage, manage supplies, and answer questions. This role primarily involves interaction with parents and siblings, with occasional patient visits.

Responsibilities
