About The Position

Own the uptime of America’s passenger rail — from a desk in Wilmington For over 160 years, Siemens has helped move the United States forward with infrastructure, electrification, and transportation innovations. At Siemens Mobility, our rail mantra is simple: trains must run. As a Rolling Stock Reliability Desk Engineer, you’ll be the calm center of the storm — orchestrating real-time troubleshooting for locomotives and coaches, using Fleet Monitoring data to guide on-train staff and restore service safely and quickly. We’re proud to be Great Place to Work® certified — an environment where ideas move fast and every voice matters. Day in the life You’ll start your shift in our Wilmington, DE operations hub, scanning fleet dashboards for emerging trends. A conductor calls in from an enroute train; you stay composed, walk through a structured diagnostic path, and recommend the safest, fastest recovery. Between calls, you collaborate with Product Managers, Software Engineers, and Field Service Technicians to refine maintenance practices and feed lessons back into continuous improvement. You also provide technical oversight to contractual depots and administrative support to Siemens Reliability and Service Managers.
