Apply today and be part of shaping the future with us! Join Siemens in Philadelphia as a Field Service Technician, working hands-on with advanced Charger locomotives and Venture coaches. This job will train you on how to troubleshoot, repair, and implement field modifications, working directly with customers to achieve reliability and satisfaction throughout the warranty period. Ideal candidates enjoy technical challenges and learn about electrical and mechanical systems in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma (or GED)
  • Interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team
  • Individuals must possess a valid Driver's license in good standing
  • Ability to read and understand schematics, maintenance, repair, and FMI documents
  • Must have basic computer skills and work in Microsoft Office. SAP is a plus
  • Must be willing and open to working various shifts and days off
  • Candidates must be able to work independently and without much supervision
  • Ability to work safely, report hazards, and recognize risks

Responsibilities

  • Commission and support warranty operations for locomotives and coaches
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical issues
  • Use diagnostic software and laptops for system assessments
  • Interpret mechanical drawings, schematics, and circuit plans
  • Document failures, repairs, and modifications
  • Implement Field Modifications (FMIs) to improve quality
  • Communicate with team members and site leads
  • Follow all company and industry safety procedures
