Nucor Steel Marion is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Rolling Mill Shift Supervisor.  Responsibilities will include developing the Nucor culture where Safety is a value that is continually demonstrated.  Other responsibilities will include selecting, teaching, and training a team in all aspects of steel production while working closely with peers within the leadership team to develop consistent guidelines for the Nucor Marion team.  The qualified candidate must be willing to work rotating shifts, holidays, and weekends as required. Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated Commitment to Safety
  • Previous Leadership Experience, Lead or higher
  • 2 Years minimum steel mill experience

Nice To Haves

  • Team member training and development experience
  • Experience in rebar production and rolling theory
  • Knowledge of operational systems and maintenance best practices
