About The Position

Reybold is a growing Construction and Property Management company located in Bear, DE seeking a Roller Operator for our Construction Site Operations. Roller and Screed Operators are responsible for operating machines that spread and level asphalt for roadways and/or other structures. Asphalt spreader operators turn valves to regulate the temperature and flow of asphalt being applied to the roadbed. They must ensure a constant flow of asphalt into the hopper and that the machine distributes the paving material evenly. Essential Duties Safely operate paving machines such as Volvo 7510 and Vogele Perform measurements and calculations relative to production, supplies, and materials costs. Work within a budget and understand labor costs. Efficiently meet production goals. Clean and maintain equipment, making basic repairs as necessary Report malfunctioning equipment to supervisors Move levers, push pedals, or turn valves to control equipment Drive and maneuver equipment Coordinate machine actions with crew members using hand or audio signals Ensure that safety standards are met Additional Responsibilities May have some supervisory duties, overseeing a paving team and providing direction for the day's workload. QualificationsEducation and/or Experience Qualifications 2-5 years’ experience operating asphalt paving equipment or machinery. Experience running a Paving Crew Physical Demands Demanding and Challenging Ability to walk, bend, move, climb, and lift Ability to exert force to move up to 75 lbs Ability to use movements to operate heavy equipment Work Environment Construction equipment operators work in nearly every weather condition, although rain or extremely cold weather can stop some types of construction.
