MBC Tysons - Rock Summer Intern
About The Position
The internship program is designed for high school graduates, college students, and recent college grads who are walking closely with Jesus and would like to spend the summer working in student ministry and discipling the next generation. We are looking for interns with the desire to come alongside teenagers in the DMV area and point them to deep and abiding faith in Jesus amid a culture of opposition, distraction, and disbelief. Ministry involves many types of work, from administrative tasks to leading small groups to planning outreach and discipleship events. As a Rock intern, you’ll serve meaningfully in both operations and disciple-making roles during our weekly programing and at our special events. You will also assist with the planning and execution of our two Rock Summer Camps. Additionally, you will receive intentional training and discipleship from the NextGen team to develop you as a faithful servant of Jesus.
Requirements
- High school graduate, college student, or recent college grad
- Walking closely with Jesus
- Desire to work in student ministry and disciple the next generation
- Desire to come alongside teenagers in the DMV area and point them to deep and abiding faith in Jesus
- Evening and weekend availability
Responsibilities
- Assist with administrative tasks
- Lead small groups
- Plan outreach and discipleship events

- Assist with planning and execution of Rock Summer Camps
- Participate in intentional training and discipleship from the NextGen team
Benefits
- Interns will receive a stipend of $2,500 for the summer to help with basic expenses.
- Housing may be available for interns who live out of town or don’t have family in the area.
