About The Position

The Rock Steady Boxing Assistant Coach is responsible for assisting with the coordination and implementation of Rock Steady Boxing programs. This role involves facilitating scheduled activities, fostering positive interactions among residents, families, and community groups, and encouraging resident participation. The assistant coach must be adaptable to each resident's individual needs, communication preferences, and engagement styles. Key duties also include assisting with the setup and breakdown of special events, maintaining regular communication with the main RSB Coach regarding resident needs and concerns, and preserving the appearance of activity areas, program supplies, and equipment.

Requirements

• Be able to make independent decisions and follow instructions.
• Deal tactfully with personnel, prospects, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel, and the public.
• Capable of working with ill, disabled, elderly, and emotionally upset people within the facility.
• Communicate effectively in a manner that is sufficient for supervisors, team members, prospects, residents, and families.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
• Must meet all applicable state and federal requirements for this position.
• Fluent in English, verbal and written.

Nice To Haves

• One + years of experience in social or recreational programming in Health Care or related field preferred.
