As a ROC (Remote Operations Center) Manager, you will lead a team of Automation Technicians responsible for remotely maintaining control systems for major pipeline customers to reduce downtime and maximize efficiency. You will oversee daily ROC operations, ensuring system reliability and driving continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to develop technical staff
  • Advanced troubleshooting capability across electrical, mechanical, and automation systems
  • Experience managing operations, workflows, and multiple priorities
  • Strong accountability and ownership in high-impact operational environments
  • Excellent collaboration and communication across teams and customers

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in Engineering, Automation, or related field
  • Strong knowledge of automation systems including PLCs, IO, drives, sensors, and networking
  • Experience in industrial environments such as pipeline, oil & gas, or similar sectors

Responsibilities

  • Lead ROC operations and oversee client hotline support, ensuring proper escalation and resolution of issues
  • Oversee monitoring of client support communications, alerts, and system notifications
  • Establish and maintain procedures, FAQs, and technical documentation standards
  • Oversee SIM activation/deactivation processes and asset lifecycle management
  • Ensure IT ticket workflows are managed and resolved efficiently
  • Ensure safe and efficient onboarding/offboarding of assets aligned with production needs
  • Guide PLC, firmware, and network update strategies across remote assets
  • Ensure reliability and uptime of telecontrol servers and network infrastructure
  • Oversee VPN, connectivity hardware lifecycle, and remote communication systems
  • Manage satellite and remote connectivity solutions including Starlink and similar systems
  • Coordinate with engineering and panel shop teams for system integration and deployment
  • Ensure asset management systems are accurate, secure, and up to date
  • Oversee fleet-wide software deployment and system standardization
  • Drive continuous improvement and scalability initiatives within the ROC
