We are seeking a Robotic Welding Technician and Operator for our Smyrna, Tennessee Plant. Position Summary: We are looking for motivated individuals interested in coming to work on time and working hard. Responsibilities and pay will increase with experience. Self-starter, the ability to work with others, punctuality, a must. Shift: 2nd 3:30pm to 12:00am Schedule: Monday- Friday Overtime as needed on Saturdays

Requirements

  • Strong analytical thinking, problem solving, and computer skills.
  • Knowledgeable of automation equipment, processes, and systems
  • Interpret blueprints and drawings.
  • Adapt to technology changes quickly and seamlessly.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Able to safely lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Manual dexterity in extremities to open and close clamps, grab onto parts and push buttons.
  • Basic computer skills, e-mail, excel and time keeping systems.
  • Must be able to clear drug screen and background check.
  • Must have reliable transportation.
  • Reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (Required)
  • High school or equivalent (Required) with classes in Robotics and/or Welding at the Junior College level.

Nice To Haves

  • Certificate in Welding, Metals Fabrication or Machining and/or an associate’s degree in Welding or Robotics.

Responsibilities

  • Ability to select and change tools per SOP.
  • Apply principles of basic welding fundamentals, understand AWS symbols and blueprints.
  • Visual inspection of parts to confirm correct weld path
  • Identify and select correct robotic welding parameters, welding procedures, operations, and programs.
  • Create robotic welding programs, modify existing welding programs, and conduct welding cell cycle time calculations.
  • Troubleshoot and perform preventative maintenance of robotic equipment and welding equipment.
