Hours for this position are typically 2nd Shift: Monday - Friday, 2:30pm - 1:00am Must be available to work overtime (daily, weekends & some holidays) WHAT TOLEDO TOOL & DIE CAN OFFER YOU: $1.50/hr shift premium (2nd shift) Weekly pay 10 paid holidays Paid Time Off 401k plan Full benefits (medical/dental/vision) WHAT MAKES YOU A GREAT FIT FOR THIS POSITION: Previous experience working with robotic welders Strong work ethic Positive attitude Consistent attendance Willingness to learn Safety minded KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Set up, operate, or tend welding machines that join or bond components to fabricate metal products or assemblies Inspect, measure, or test completed metal workpieces to ensure conformance to specifications, using measuring and testing devices. Correct problems by adjusting controls or by stopping machines and opening holding devices. Give directions to other workers regarding machine set-up and use Clean, lubricate, maintain, and adjust equipment to maintain efficient operation, using air hoses, cleaning fluids, and hand tools. Conduct trial runs before welding, soldering, or brazing, and make necessary adjustments to equipment. Observe meters, gauges, or machine operations to ensure that soldering or brazing processes meet specifications. Compute and record settings for new work, applying knowledge of metal properties, principles of welding, and shop mathematics. Start, monitor, and adjust robotic welding production lines. Modify computer-controlled robot movements. Perform preventive or corrective maintenance on robotic systems or components. Evaluate the efficiency and reliability of industrial robotic systems, reprogramming or calibrating to achieve maximum quantity and quality. Develop robotic path motions to maximize efficiency, safety, and quality. Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas. Authority to stop production in the event unsafe parts or conditions appear. Performs other duties as assigned by the immediate Supervisor and/or Manager, which may be outside the scope of responsibilities noted above.

Requirements

  • Prefer at least two (2) years of progressive weld experience (MIG, TIG, etc…)
  • Prefer at least one (1) year of progressive robotic experience (programming, adjustments, etc..)
  • Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
  • Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.
  • Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.
  • Meet or exceed the job requirements of the job.
  • Identified candidates must be able to work overtime (daily, weekends and holidays).
