We are seeking an established Robotics Startup Specialist Manager that is eager to use all skills and competencies to deploy quickly our groundbreaking robotic assisted surgical solutions to patients, surgeons and hospitals. A Medtronic Robotic Startup Specialist Manager (RSUSM) leads a team of Start-up Specialists (SUS) that are responsible for the utilization of the Medtronic Hugo™ Robotic Assisted Surgery Systems to a selected list of our existing hospitals clients. The RSUSM is responsible for achieving a high and growing robotic system utilization in the assigned area. The RSUSM will lead a team of highly qualified and motivated SUS in an assigned geography, The RSUSM is expected to attend meetings with hospital clients, together with the SUS, to lead conversations around hospital robotics programs, with clinical and managerial stakeholders. The operating unit of Surgical Robotics is going to be a major growth contributor to Medtronic, and it will develop fast. This is a unique opportunity to start in a leadership position and take part in launching an innovative new soft tissue robotics technology to compete in a high growth, multi-billion dollar market.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree with 5 years of relevant experience in technical, clinical or hospital commercial work, with experience leading negotiations with a proven track record of success
  • Proven leadership experience with leading teams, or projects within a technical, clinical or hospital environment

  • You are an expert in the world of surgery, possess active and deep know-how about open-, minimal invasive- and robotic assisted surgery.

Responsibilities

  • Be out in the field and travel frequently to meet with members of your team, clients and other colleagues.
  • Occasionally you work from home.

  • You work independently in the region you cover, and you keep a close alignment with your manager on the most critical points.
  • You invest and prioritize the team you manage to be and become highly qualified, motivated and supported in the field.
  • You work closely with other Medtronic leaders in both the Americas region and in the Global Surgical OU
  • You engage with surgeon teams and KOLs to develop Hospital Robotics Programs to promote a high utilization of our robotic assisted surgery technology.
  • You engage and to convince clinical leaders and hospital executives in looking to expand the use of our RAS technology.
  • You are able to structure and develop presentations, actions plans and wrap-around proposals of best clinical practices, according to RS Utilization portfolio.
  • You are able to lead negotiations in the most complex meetings with hospital leaders.
