About The Position

RYAN Lawn and Tree is looking for a dedicated Robotic Mower Fleet Lead to join our innovative team. This role is perfect for someone who excels at managing a route independently, utilizes cutting-edge technology, and maintains the highest standards of landscape quality. Position Summary The Robotic Mower Fleet Lead is responsible for managing, deploying, and maintaining a fleet of autonomous robotic mowers across multiple properties. This role blends technology, field operations, and outdoor work, serving as the primary owner of robotic mowing performance, uptime, and safety. The ideal candidate has a technical or IT background and prefers hands-on, outdoor problem-solving over a desk-only role.

Requirements

  • Background in IT, systems administration, technical support, networking, or similar technical field
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Experience working with software platforms, mobile apps, and connected devices (IoT preferred)
  • Ability to work independently in field-based environments
  • Strong communication skills with both technical and non-technical teams
  • Comfortable documenting processes and creating SOPs
  • Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
  • Comfortable working alone for extended periods
  • Willingness to be on-call for critical system alerts or outages as needed
  • Strong attention to safety and risk management
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with GPS, RTK, wireless networks, or autonomous equipment is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Manage daily operation, deployment, and performance of a robotic mower fleet
  • Configure mower software, GPS boundaries, RTK systems, docking stations, and geofencing
  • Monitor system dashboards, alerts, and error logs; respond to issues and outages
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, connectivity, and firmware issues in the field
  • Perform site evaluations to assess terrain, obstacles, and signal quality
  • Coordinate maintenance, repairs, and seasonal adjustments
  • Develop and maintain documentation, SOPs, and operating standards
  • Train and support field staff interacting with robotic mowing systems
  • Ensure safe operation around pedestrians, traffic, and client environments
  • Act as the primary point of contact for robotic mower vendors and internal teams
