About The Position
Elmer Chocolate is the oldest family-owned chocolate company in America. Our factory in Ponchatoula is the 2nd-largest manufacturer of Valentine boxed chocolate in North America. Our automated robotic machinery and manufacturing assembly lines require continual maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair.
Requirements
- Mechanical and electrical skills
- Ability to identify, evaluate, and problem solve.
- Excellent communication skills.
- 18 years of age & pass a drug screen & background check
- Reliable transportation & dependable attendance
- Ability to work overtime and weekends if needed
Responsibilities
- Maintains, repairs, installs, troubleshoots, inspects, and modifies robotic production and packaging equipment (mechanical & electrical).
- Performs equipment changeovers for various product sizes on various production and packaging machinery.
- Assesses needs regarding maintenance, spare parts, modernization, and improvement of process.
