THE WORK: You’ll ensure that all roadway and civil construction work is performed in compliance with project plans, specifications, and applicable standards. You’ll perform daily inspection of roadway, grading, paving, and related civil work. You’ll verify contractor compliance with plans, specifications, and safety requirements. You’ll prepare daily inspection reports and maintain accurate documentation. You’ll coordinate with contractors, project managers, and client representatives. You’ll monitor quantities, materials testing, and field changes. You’ll identify and report non-conforming work and assist in resolution. You’ll support project controls, including schedule and progress tracking.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of roadway or heavy civil inspection experience and experience reading and interpreting construction drawings and specifications
  • 2+ years of experience on bridge, roadway, or transportation infrastructure projects

Nice To Haves

  • Strong knowledge of Caltrans standards and specifications preferred
  • Certifications such as NICET, Caltrans, or equivalent preferred
