About The Position

Roadway Engineer We are seeking a Roadway Engineer to contribute to transportation solutions for cities and counties. Requirements

• 1-3 years of experience
• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
• E.I.T. Certification
• Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and AutoCAD Civil 3D
• Knowledge of Caltrans Highway Design Manual, AASHTO Guide, California MUTCD, and APWA standards

Responsibilities

• Assist in the engineering development of urban and rural highway/roadway projects under the direction of a Project Manager
• Complete tasks independently and within the project schedule
• Prepare or modify portions of project reports, plans, designs, and calculations
• Develop project quantities and assist with cost estimates
• Support engineering teams with organizing and managing design files
• Conduct research, data collection, field investigations, and contribute to project development
• Prepare highway designs, including planning documents and PS&E
• Coordinate with various design disciplines such as structures, hydraulics, stormwater, traffic, and utilities
• Ensure timely completion of documents within budget
