About The Position

BCC Engineering, a Parsons Company, is looking forward to hiring an experienced Roadway Enginee r ! In this role, you will be trained and mentored under supervision in the utilization of engineering theories and practices and gain valuable exposure to company standards and exciting projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (or related field) and 3+ years of related work experience
• Professional Engineer (PE) registration

Responsibilities

• Analyze and prepare roadway and Temporary Traffic Control Plans (TTCP) designs, calculations and drawings for Expressway/Limited-Access facilities and Arterial/Local roads using DOT and/or local jurisdiction criteria, with guidance provided on assigned tasks as required
• Develop 3D Models of roadways, using Corridor Modeling in GEOPAK and/or Open Roads Approach tasks with an open mindset; propose innovative solutions to design problems
• Prepare engineering reports and contract documents for review
• May assign, track, and review tasks of technicians or designers; technical discretion applied to first revision of technician work product
• Potential to serve as the Engineer-of-Record on assigned engineering tasks
• Responsible for managing timely completion of multiple assigned tasks
• Communicate effectively with team members, internal design groups, and external entities including clients, subconsultants, and relevant government agencies
• Effectively present proposed design solutions as part of internal project meetings; may attend and contribute to presentations with external parties
• Adhere to company marketing requirements by providing timely personal resume updates and participating in marketing campaigns
• Ensure timely completion of time sheets and expense reports
• Take ownership of personal career development by seeking and providing feedback, seizing opportunities to develop new skills, and setting and pursuing personal goals
• Contribute to the development of other team members through mentorship and modeling positive behaviors
