About The Position

Whitman, Requardt & Associates, LLP (WRA) is a company with over 110 years in business, known for its quality work and employees. WRA is seeking an experienced Roadway Engineer with a strong technical background to support the growth of its practice in Virginia Beach, Virginia. This role involves working with a team of engineers on the planning and design of transportation projects across Virginia. Anticipated projects include intersection and interchange design, new roadway alignments, roadway widenings, roundabouts, interstates, and pedestrian and bicycle facilities.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited program
Professional Engineer (P.E.) license registered in the Commonwealth of Virginia or ability to obtain within 6 months of employment through comity from another state
11-15 years of relevant job experience related to roadway engineering
Ability to effectively communicate orally/written at all levels of the organization
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Ability to handle multiple assignments
Experience with design software tools such as MicroStation, OpenRoads and AutoCAD
Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)

Nice To Haves

Experience with VDOT
