Roadway Engineer - Mid-Level
About The Position
Whitman, Requardt & Associates, LLP (WRA) is a company with over 110 years in business, known for quality work and employees. They are seeking an experienced Roadway Engineer/Project Manager for their King of Prussia, PA office. This role involves design and project management experience on PennDOT projects within the eastern Pennsylvania market. The clientele includes various state and local agencies such as PennDOT, PA Turnpike Commission, City of Philadelphia, and numerous PA municipalities. Project types include intersection and interchange design, new roadway alignments, roadway widenings, roundabouts, interstates, and pedestrian and bicycle facilities.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering degree (ABET accredited)
- 11 - 15 years of roadway and project management design experience in Pennsylvania
- Licensed as a Pennsylvania Registered Professional Engineer
- Experience with design software tools such as MicroStation, OpenRoads and AutoCAD
- Excellent reputation as an engineering professional
- Experience in business development
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to handle multiple assignments
- Exceptional communication, technical writing and organizational skills
- Positive attitude and willingness to work cooperatively with others
Responsibilities
- Design of horizontal and vertical alignments
- Development of roadway plans and profiles
- Roadside evaluation elements
- Maintenance of traffic design
- Preparation of construction plans, specifications, cost estimates
- Development of technical reports
- Managing and mentoring staff
