Roadway Design Engineer

Arcadis seeks a Roadway Design Engineer to join our Florida Roadway Team. This position can be in Baton Rouge, LA or Metairie, LA. You will have the opportunity to work on infrastructure projects for roadways, including intersections, collector streets, urban arterials, rural and urban expressways, interstate and interstate interchanges. The Arcadis team is involved in providing solutions to some of the most complex and exciting highway design challenges for the LADOTD, other State DOTs and municipalities.
Requirements
- 2-3 years’ work experience which includes experience on LADOTD projects
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering
- EIT with the desire to pursue a Professional Engineers License.
- Experience with CAD particularly Microstation and OpenRoads.
- Familiarity with LADOTD design standards and policies.
- Strong organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills and be a self-motivated, team-oriented and flexible individual who possesses the initiative and ability to tackle new projects, challenges, and concepts.

- Prefer experience in a client-facing role, either as a team or individual, making presentations and managing client expectations.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to the development of roadway projects by assisting in project scopes, budgets, and planning.
- Responsible for the technical design of minor projects, including roadways, intersections, streets, expressways, and interchanges.
- Provide support to the Project Manager and lead engineers in various aspects of project management.
- Interact with clients to understand their needs and requirements for roadway projects.
- Ensure that all aspects of the roadway projects adhere to Arcadis practices, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.

- The salary range for this position is $77048 - $92457. Actual salaries will vary and are based on several factors, such as experience, education, budget, internal equity, project and location.
