About The Position

Yellowstone Club is seeking candidates for Road Maintenance Tech/CDL Equipment Operators. This is a multi-skill full-time year-round position with varying duties depending on the time of year. This role is responsible for the operation and routine maintenance of equipment and performing manual labor tasks for the Yellowstone Club property. The operator runs various types of equipment such as dump trucks, winter plow vehicles, water trucks, excavators, motor grader, backhoe, forklifts, lowboy, wheel loader, tractor, and additional similar equipment. The operator position performs other construction and manual labor-related duties as necessary. Knowledge, skills and abilities necessary for this position consist of: Use and operation of basic hand tools such as shovels, hammers, post-pounders, picks, come-alongs, etc. Use and operation of power tools such as drills, demo saw, compactor, saws all, circular saw, etc. Understanding of Grade Plans and Grading Tools. Understanding of earth-moving practices. Experience with snow removal equipment. Safely transport equipment around YC property and the ability to learn the YC roadways and travel routes. Experience digging around and installing utilities, as well as an understanding of utility markers. Ability to follow verbal and written instructions while completing tasks together or by yourself. Adherence to safety guidelines. Ability to lift up to 70 lbs. when necessary. Basic computer skills.

Requirements

  • High school diploma, GED or vocational training, or job-related coursework
  • Over 18 years of age
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Recommended Class B CDL w/air brake and 1-year commercial driving experience
  • Must be able to learn and memorize multiple snow plow routes
  • Must be able to work in all weather conditions, day, and night
  • Ability to read and understand construction drawings and instructions
  • Be able to work weekends and holidays as needed
  • Be able to work outside in inclement weather and adverse conditions
  • Ability to work efficiently alone or with a team
  • Adhere to safety practices
  • Adhere to early morning start times when necessary
  • This position will be subject to random drug screenings throughout the season

Responsibilities

  • Delineate road edges
  • Complete cold patching
  • Assist in the plow vehicle shop
