About The Position
The Registered Nurse First Assistant is a Perioperative nurse who works in collaboration with the surgeon and other health care team members to achieve optimal patient outcomes. During the assisting phase and until conclusion of the operative procedure the R.N.F.A. is under the direction of the Surgeon. As needed, the R.N.F.A. may provide patient care by circulating or scrubbing surgical procedures. The Registered Nurse First Assistant is credentialed through the medical staff as allied health provider.
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year recent acute care Registered Nurse experience required.
- Must have and maintain CNOR certification
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of California (or ability to obtain)
- Must have and maintain current BLS card, required.
- ACLS and PALS, is REQUIRED of all experienced Emergency department nurses upon hire start date (experienced in ED within last 2 years).
