The Nurse Practitioner (NP) OR Registered Nurse (RNFA) must be certified as a RNFA with a minimum of 2-years of experience. Only candidates with this certification will be considered for the position. This role exemplifies the attributes of a Lindsay House Surgery Center nurse and reflects the mission, vision, and values of the center. Adheres to the organization's Code of Ethics and Corporate Compliance Program, complies with all relevant policies, procedures, guidelines and all other regulatory and AAACH accreditation standards. The NP or RNFA is a registered professional nurse who has completed an approved RNFA course and functions as a first assistant during surgical procedures in order to assist the surgeon. The NP/RNFA is directly supervised by the surgeon and performs functions specifically identified and consistent with training received. Works in collaboration with the surgeon and health care team to achieve optimal patient outcomes. Practices at the direction of the surgeon and does not concurrently function as a scrub person.
