Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Basic knowledge of HVAC systems and components
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical diagrams
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Willingness to follow safety protocols and guidelines
  • Good physical condition with the ability to lift heavy materials and equipment
  • Effective communication skills
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Willingness to learn and take direction from experienced technicians
  • Ability to work in various weather conditions and confined spaces
  • Basic math skills for accurate measurements and calculations
  • Flexibility to work overtime or weekends if needed
  • Strong work ethic and attention to detail
  • Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively

  • Enrollment in or completion of a relevant technical training program is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the installation of HVAC ductwork and piping systems in new construction and renovation projects.
  • Measure and cut sheet metal and other materials according to specifications.
  • Support senior technicians in the layout and assembly of HVAC units and components.
  • Help maintain a clean and organized work environment by handling tools and equipment appropriately.
  • Transport and handle materials and equipment to and from the job site.
  • Follow safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Attend training sessions and workshops to improve technical skills and knowledge of HVAC systems.
  • Perform basic maintenance tasks such as cleaning ductwork and replacing filters under supervision.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and schematics with guidance from experienced technicians.
  • Assist in testing HVAC systems for proper functioning and efficiency.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding project updates and needs.
  • Participate in troubleshooting and diagnosing issues with HVAC components and systems.
