About The Position
The Respiratory Care Unit (5 North) is a 16-bed step-down unit providing care for patients with respiratory and complex medical needs. Nurses on this unit care for a diverse range of patients, including those with COPD, CHF, pneumonia, acute respiratory failure, and others. This fast-paced unit offers a patient-centered approach with a strong emphasis on interprofessional collaboration, involving nursing, respiratory therapy, the pulmonary care team, and hospitalists. Nurses on 5 North have the opportunity for personal and professional growth, with specialized training provided to care for this patient population. Our unit fosters teamwork, communication, and a supportive environment, making it an excellent setting for nurses at all stages of their careers. Flexible schedule: Three 12-hour shifts with some weekend requirement.
Requirements
- Graduated from an accredited School of Nursing, BSN preferred.
- New Hampshire RN licensure and American Health Care Provider BLS required.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively and positively interact with multi-disciplinary staff, patients, and others.
- Demonstrated ability to perform as a member of a team.
