About The Position

Individuals in this job classification are responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, evaluating, and documenting patient care activities according to OSUMC standards to provide efficient, effective, and quality patient care. The Registered Nurse (RN) must possess the knowledge and skills to deliver age-appropriate care to patients on the assigned unit, including understanding growth and development principles across the lifespan. They must be able to assess patient data, interpret information to identify age-specific needs, and develop, modify, and implement patient care plans in line with OSUMC policies. The RN is also required to comply with the rules and regulations of the Oklahoma Nursing Practice Act.

Requirements

2-year Associates Degree
Current RN License - Oklahoma or Multi-State
BLS
ACLS (within 90 days)

Responsibilities

Assessing, planning, implementing, evaluating, and documenting care activities in accordance with OSUMC standards
Deliver efficient, effective, and quality patient care
Demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served on the assigned unit
Demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span
Possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patient’s status
Interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient's requirements relative to his/her age-specific needs
Plan for the provision of patient care including the development, modification and implementation of the plan of care in accordance with OSUMC standards
Adhere to and abide by the rules and regulations set forth by the Oklahoma Nursing Practice Act
