This Registered Nurse (RN) position is on a 28-bed unit that serves as a Special Pathogens Unit, caring for adults suffering from complex acute illnesses. The unit provides care for acutely ill patients with conditions such as pneumonia, COPD, CHF, acute and chronic renal failure, cellulitis, gastrointestinal bleeds, liver failure, diseases of addiction, diabetes mellitus, COVID, and altered mental status. Nurses are involved in cutting-edge, evidence-based therapies and research studies to improve patient outcomes, participate in quality improvement initiatives, and lead practice change.
