About The Position

RN Unit Manager – Skilled Nursing Facility Location: Orange, NJ A skilled nursing facility in Orange, NJ is seeking an experienced RN Unit Manager to oversee clinical operations for an assigned nursing unit. This role requires prior experience specifically as an RN Unit Manager in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting . This position is ideal for a nurse leader who understands SNF regulations, staffing workflows, and unit-level accountability for clinical outcomes and compliance.

Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of New Jersey
• Minimum 2+ years of experience as an RN Unit Manager in a skilled nursing, long-term care, or rehabilitation facility
• Proven experience managing nursing staff and unit operations
• Strong knowledge of SNF regulations, documentation standards, and quality metrics
• Ability to lead in a fast-paced, regulated healthcare environment
• Excellent communication and organizational skills

Responsibilities

• Oversee all clinical operations for an assigned nursing unit
• Directly supervise RNs, LPNs, and CNAs assigned to the unit
• Ensure compliance with CMS, state, and facility regulations
• Manage resident care plans, clinical documentation, and quality measures
• Lead unit-level care plan meetings and interdisciplinary rounds
• Monitor incidents, infection control practices, and corrective actions
• Partner with DON and nursing leadership on staffing, performance, and audits
• Support survey readiness and participate in regulatory surveys
• Act as the primary clinical leader for assigned residents and staff
