Schedule: Full-Time Nights | 36 hours per week About Us - Operating Room Freeman Health System’s main operating room has nine surgical suites and offers a variety of specialties including gynecology, ear, nose and throat, orthopaedics, cosmetic and neurosurgery In this fast paced procedural area, the staff uses their experience, knowledge and skills to work as a team to take patient care to the next level of patient safety and satisfaction We offer an in-depth individualized orientation process to prepare employees for success in the perioperative setting What You’ll Do In conjunction with the medical plan of care, independently performs systematic and continuous assessment of the physical, emotional, clinical, and psychosocial needs of assigned patients and families; plans and implements appropriate interventions; and evaluates effectiveness and adjusts plan as indicated in a timely manner in the provision of safe and effective care.

Requirements

AHA ACLS within 180 days.
AHA ACLS within 180 days
AHA BLS for Healthcare Providers within 30 days.
Current Missouri Registered Nurse license or current Registered Nurse license from a compact state. If a compact license is held, it must be in the nurse’s state of residence.
Perioperative RN Competency Day annually by transcript due date.
Satisfactory completion of dept. skills checklist.

Responsibilities

In conjunction with the medical plan of care, independently performs systematic and continuous assessment of the physical, emotional, clinical, and psychosocial needs of assigned patients and families
plans and implements appropriate interventions
evaluates effectiveness and adjusts plan as indicated in a timely manner in the provision of safe and effective care.
