Requirements

  • Associate's in Nursing plus three (3) years of nursing experience
  • Valid Arkansas RN license
  • EPIC and Electronic health information systems

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelors in Nursing plus one (1) year of experience
  • Transplant experience
  • Demonstrated experience in healthcare quality or performance improvement, with the ability to track, trend, and analyze large, complex data sets.
  • Proficient in data management, interpretation, and translating findings into actionable items to support quality and regulatory initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Participates in planning and implementing systematic processes to improve the quality and safety of patient care, and operational effectiveness of the program
  • Oversee the maintenance of the OPTN data entry system for transplant centers
  • Reviews medical records, including reviews of documentation required for UNOS and CMS
  • Assists and contributes to the Transplant Institute leaders and staff to assure continuous survey readiness with policy and procedure development, review and revision, mock survey drills, and ongoing education
  • Develop and maintain transplant statistical data and perform outcome monitoring in coordination with the Quality Director for the transplant department.
  • Assists in maintaining compliance with requirements of external agencies in the area of quality and accreditation surveys/inspections, specifically those related to Transplant, The Joint Commission, CMS, UNOS, and the ESRD Network.
  • Performs other duties as assigned
