Opening its doors in 2013 and expanding in 2017, this state-of-the-art acute care facility has 177 patient rooms and offers a wide variety of services to meet community needs. The Telemetry/Neurology Unit specializes in the monitoring of various neurological conditions and diagnoses. As an RN, you will assist with various support activities, including wound care, condition assessment, medication administration, dressing changes and more. In this role, you can make a difference in the lives of patients and families every day, all while enhancing your nursing skills through extensive hands-on experience, nursing committees and advanced education opportunities.
Requirements
- Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing (ADN or BSN program)
- Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or ALS American Red Cross certification upon hire or within the first year of employment
- One year of current acute care RN experience OR licensed military RN experience
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- National Institutes of Health (NIH) Certification - If you do not hold this certification, you must obtain it within 30 days of hire
Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care.
- Implement, monitor, evaluate, update and revise patient care plans.
- Monitor, record, document and communicate patients' conditions.
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments.
- Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
- Assess and coordinate patients' discharge needs.
- Educate patients and their families.
