The Registered Nurse (RN) Team Coordinator serves as a lead clinical resource within the ambulatory clinic or specialty clinic through the provision of excellent ambulatory nursing care with a patient centered approach to all interactions and is responsible for providing supervision and leadership to patient care team staff in the Patient Care Services Department. They oversee daily operations of a patient care team, collaborates with other coordinators and Clinic Managers, and serves as a resource for nursing staff on clinic operations. The RN Team Coordinator also performs clinical duties such as telephone triage, patient education, direct care, care coordination, and staff performance evaluation. They work under the Clinic Manager's supervision, with tasks delegated by provider staff within Wisconsin's RN scope of practice.
