This full-time RN Surgical Operations Specialist position is located in Arlington Heights, with working hours from 7am to 3:30pm, Monday through Friday. The specialist reports to the Director and is responsible for assisting with the coordination of safe, effective patient care in the operating room, providing guidance, and promoting staff development. Key duties include assuring the appropriate implementation of policies and procedures, allocating human and material resources for patient care delivery, assessing resource effectiveness, and recommending changes to foster a positive work environment and collaboration among the healthcare team. The role also involves coordinating the operational needs of assigned surgical specialty teams to promote the attainment of department and hospital strategic goals.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing
  • IL Rn Licensure
  • CPR BLS through American Heart Association
  • Two years of experience in an acute care OR setting

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing, or active pursuit of degree
  • CNOR preferred
  • Previous leadership experience
