As an RN Resident on this team, you will assist fellow caregivers in delivering exceptional care, from initial introduction to final send-off while also participating in a residency core curriculum based on your individual learning needs. Working alongside a coach, you will provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of the healthcare organization. Units and specialty areas dedicated to this department: Cole Eye OR DDSI/HPB LIVER Arterial Vascular/Vascular Surgery OR Nights and Weekends OR Peds Surgery OR Neuro Institute OR Cardiac OR Plastic OR General or OR Colorectal This is a full-time day-shift position. A caregiver in this role will have their shifts assigned after orientation. Orientation is offered once per month and is 6-months long from Monday through Friday, 7:00am to 3:30pm. A caregiver who excels in this role will: Provide nursing care in an operative setting to patients undergoing surgical or invasive procedures. Perform scrub and circulating functions. Prepare the OR, surgical instruments and equipment for use.

Requirements

• Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing.
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross
• New graduate RN OR less than one year of RN work experience.
