RN Supervisor - 4Gab Observation Unit - St Peters Hospital Employment Type: Full time Shift: Rotating Shift Description: RN Supervisor - 4 Gab/Observation/St Peters Hospital EXEMPT 8hr/5day - FT Days, Eves and Night rotating coverage needed as expectation If you are an experienced RN looking for a leadership position in the Observation/Clinical Decision Unit to meet your schedule, this could be your opportunity. Admissions from the ED. Will also function as a discharge lounge if OBS admissions are low. In peak census times, may function as a rapid admission unit from the ED to decompress the ED pending bed availability on M/S units. Will work closely with Hospitalist and CM/UM assigned to unit. Functional Role (not inclusive of titles or advancement career progression) NL I –supervising: Frontline, department-based, direct or indirect healthcare department / program; Formally / informally supervises daily & / or house functions of charge nurses, professional & frontline staff (multidisciplinary team) of assigned department; May or may not have direct report relationships; May be accountable for the staff coordination, scheduling & assignment or throughput; May participate in & contributes to the performance management / review process; Contributes to the daily performance, daily adherence to regulatory requirements & drives results of team within assigned department; Implements departmental plans & priorities identified by accountable nurse leaders.
Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
- Valid RN licensure authorized in the applicable state(s) of practice / employment.
- Baccalaureate of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree from an accredited school of nursing.
- Valid driver’s license where required by assignment.
Nice To Haves
- Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) degree from an accredited school of nursing.
- Leadership experience & / or other experience / licensure / certifications aligned with area of responsibility & assignment.
