On this team, you will provide stellar support to patients assigned to your assigned unit. Known for their excellent assessment skills, South Pointe Hospital’s Observation Unit provides care to and observes patients requiring expedited evaluation to determine the appropriate inpatient/outpatient intervention. You’ll experience endless learning opportunities while interacting with diverse populations in a fast-paced environment with a high patient turnover rate.

Requirements

  • Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing
  • Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
  • One year of current acute care RN experience
  • Will consider military RN experience
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor of science in nursing (BSN)

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct nursing care.
  • Implement, monitor, evaluate, update and revise patient care plans.
  • Monitor, record, document and communicate patients’ conditions.
  • Administer prescribed medications and treatments.
  • Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
  • Assess and coordinate patients’ discharge needs.
  • Educate patients and their families.
