Known for their excellent assessment skills, South Pointe Hospital’s Observation Unit provides care to and observes patients requiring expedited evaluation to determine the appropriate inpatient/outpatient intervention. You’ll experience endless learning opportunities while interacting with diverse populations in a fast-paced environment with a high patient turnover rate.

Requirements

• Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
• One year of current acute care RN experience
• Will consider military RN experience
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor of science in nursing (BSN)

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care.
• Implement, monitor, evaluate, update and revise patient care plans.
• Monitor, record, document and communicate patients’ conditions.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments.
• Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
• Assess and coordinate patients’ discharge needs.
• Educate patients and their families.
