About The Position

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse to serve as our Stroke Coordinator, leading efforts to enhance stroke care within our hospital in Blue Springs, Missouri. The Stroke Coordinator focuses on coordinating comprehensive care for stroke patients, ensuring alignment with the latest clinical guidelines and best practices. As the RN Stroke Coordinator, you will collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team to drive quality improvement initiatives, optimize patient outcomes, and maintain compliance with national stroke care standards. Requirements

  • Bachelors of Science in Nursing or higher, preferred
  • Current and valid state RN license
  • Minimum of five years of critical care experience in the ICU or Emergency Department (or a combination of both), preferred
  • Current BCLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintained current
  • ACLS upon hire and maintained current

  • Bachelors of Science in Nursing or higher, preferred

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate Stroke Patient Care– Manage care from admission through discharge, ensuring continuity and quality.
  • Lead Quality Improvement Initiatives– Analyze outcomes and implement strategies to enhance stroke care performance.
  • Educate Staff and Families– Provide ongoing training on stroke protocols to nursing teams, patients, and caregivers.
  • Promote Community Awareness– Develop and lead outreach programs to increase stroke awareness and prevention.
  • Ensure Regulatory Compliance– Maintain adherence to national/state guidelines and hospital policies.
  • Collaborate Across Departments– Facilitate communication among healthcare teams to support seamless patient care and satisfaction.
